Privacy Policy
Version 2026-09-18 · in effect from 18 September 2026
What we collect
- Your account: name, email address, and phone number if you give one.
- Your provider profile, if you make one: display name, description, photo, the services you offer and their rates and hours.
- Location, only while you are online as a provider: your position is published so customers can see you on the map, and it is deleted the moment your last service goes offline.
- Live location, only during a service you agreed on and only if you share it: your position and how you are travelling, sent to the one person you agreed with. It is held in memory, never written to our database, and discarded when sharing stops or the service ends.
- Messages: what you send through the chat, so it can be delivered and so you both keep the thread.
- Notification subscriptions: if you turn on notifications, the browser endpoint needed to send them.
- Reports: when you report someone, what you wrote and, if you attach it, the conversation it refers to.
What we do not collect
We never ask for your location at sign-up, and customers browsing the map are not tracked. We do not process payments, so we hold no card or bank details. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Who can see what
Your name, photo, description, rates and rating are public on your provider profile. Your position is visible while you are online. Your email address and phone number are never shown to other users unless you send them yourself in a chat. A live location you share during an agreed service is visible only to the other person in that conversation.
How long we keep it
Account and profile data lasts as long as your account. Location is not history: only your latest position is stored, and it is cleared when you go offline. Live locations shared during a service are not stored at all. Messages stay so both sides keep the conversation. Reports are kept for our moderation records.
Deleting your account
You can close your account from your dashboard. Your name, email and phone are scrubbed, your photo and description are removed, and your profile leaves the map immediately. Conversations and reviews the other person took part in remain, with your name replaced, because they are also that person's record.
Your rights
You can see and correct your details from your dashboard at any time, and you can ask us for a copy of what we hold or for it to be erased. Write to privacy@needa.app.
Maps and third parties
Map tiles are served by OpenFreeMap. Loading a map means your browser requests tiles from them, which involves your IP address, as any web request does. Notifications travel through the push service your browser uses, which is Google, Apple or Mozilla depending on the browser.
